I often get frustrated customers saying to me "I tried it at home, but you are doing it on a torso and not on yourself". This is true. And that's because the vast majority of our bow ties are dispatched tied already. I tied them myself. And I can assure you, I wouldn't want to be doing that many bow ties on myself.

It is harder to tie a bow tie on yourself as opposed to the bust in my studio. A mannequin stays still and steady. A mannequin doesn't sweat or get dead arms from staying in the same position. So I feel you. But the EXACT same technique I deploy on the torso is the EXACT same technique you deploy in the mirror.

You just need patience. And you just need to watch this video a few times.

Good luck, and take a look at our how to tie Le Noeud Papillon bow ties page, along with other knots, if you are curious.
