It's About The Birth Of Christ - Not The Fat Man In The Sky

It's About The Birth Of Christ - Not The Fat Man In The Sky

It's that time of year and it's not always nice for everyone. Families have old trauma, people are doing it hard. If there is one thing I want suggest to my customers it is this, Christmas is about the birth of Christ and the celebration of his life, and if we break all of it down and we remove all the miracles and focus on what he tried to teach us, it is basically the principles of love, humility, forgiveness, and righteousness as per his sermon on the mount. And to be true to myself, to be honest about where I stand on that, I know that I am a flawed character and that when in doubt, it is fantastic to fall back on these principles even if I don't believe he walked on water or fed 5000. And so I wish these things for my customers and friends, just as I wish it for myself.

It has been a tough year for many, another year of big changes, of big polarity, of war, or crises, of chance moments where the fate of many things hinged on moments that might just have gone one way or another.

My God, if we look back on it, I don't know what to say. Another year. It's been quite a few since I felt it was tranquil and without a roller coaster. But there has always been war, there has always been conflict, there has always been change. It's just how it is. I am certain that as the world waited to see how the Cuban missile crisis would unfold, they too may have felt the same anxiety we feel today.

So in the face of all that adversity, you can always fall back on Jesus' sermon on the mount as a way to behave for yourself, and perhaps it will inspire others.
