Core Message: I want to share my Creed Aventus Absolu Flacon With My Best Customers
I say that’s life. That’s life! That’s what all the people say. You’re riding high in April, shot down in May. But, I know I’m gonna change that tune, when I’m back on top, back on top in June.
Ain’t that the truth. This year has been a roller coaster, in a year that we have produced some of the best, if not the best work of my 18 year career, it has been coupled with a decline in the overall pie.
I have said on posts that I’m not even sure which channel it’s on as I have so many from the journal to the instagram to the Tik Tok to the emails - far out Brussels sprouts was it ever supposed to be this way - that the world is obsessed with this AI stuff, and it has surely helped with me in translating sketches and ideas into artwork, I’ve loved it, so it improves inputs, however, there is no additional output so is it productive if we don’t see more dollars and cents on the other side.
That being said, we have had so many more wealthy patrons visit the Studio in Sydney. They are not the customers reading this newsletter. And it is making me feel like one of those renaissance artists that relies on commissions from the Medicis and so on. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t consider myself an artist like they were, I am just saying.
This week one of these said customers was to generous with his purchases that I sunk his last order into a flacon of Creed Aventus Absolu which I intend to share with my customers over time. Whilst I was at Creed in Sydney I realised that if I were to purchase the bottles individually the total would be 3200 aud whereas the flacon would be 1750 AUD and I just thought, it’s being touted as one of the best scents in 2026, and it is marvellous, a step up on traditional Aventus which can batch by batch hit and miss.
So, over time, my wonderful bow tie enthusiast customers who built us with your words and pictures, I will be sharing it with our more generous online customers, you have been with me for the good times, I hope you will be here for the shrinking of the pie.
And that being said, and at the same time, we have been having more and more private label work go out, which is great, but with other companies labels on our products it is a double edged sword, more volume, less recognition for what we produce. Still, I love working with tailors, bespoke and MTM, who are the chief resellers of these products and it keeps us busy.
I have new silks but we are busy in private label so until I finish them all, sadly, they won’t be on the website.
In other news, I have been asked to provide bow ties for some very prestigious events, I can’t tell you until it’s done, just like the Cranbrook scarves, mostly because I’m only at the beginning of it all and will have it’s challenges I assume until I get it right.
Before I go, let me say it again, one more time, without your patronage, words, videos and pictures, I am just nobody, well not nobody, I have an inherent value just being me, but I mean I would have got nowhere without you. Remember, I started with just a few black bow ties and most people thinking I would sink my own ship given I was trying to make hand tied bow ties from Sydney, Australia for the discerning few that might adopt them. That I would create a career for myself that’s lasted 18 years so far, it was all because of you people, orders small and big, commissions plain and extraordinary.
I would love for you, when you get a chance, to spread the word, perhaps I can gain a little more of the pie with your support.
Love from Sydney, Australia
Nicholas Anastasios Atgemis
