The first news anchor we ever saw wearing our neck tie on the news was the later Peter Harvey with his inimitable voice. It was a big win. In fact, I believe he announced the lowest interest rates in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 after he was anchoring post Brian Henderson's retirement. Back then it was Anoushka Wood who was running wardrobe and I have to thank her for getting behind us.

Years later I have enjoyed a really good relationship subsequent anchor Peter Overton, who has by now worn so many of our neck ties on the news that I figure at some point we will make it to the National Archives or perhaps even to some wonderful film adaptation of a real life Australian crime story - if I am not mistaken he once read about the Epstein Files and of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump wearing our neck ties. For this I am very grateful. Peter and his wife are also friends, not in the traditional sense, we don't dine out together make parties... but we will often see each other at the Vaucluse shops and they are always warm and friendly and supportive.

So, big thank you to Peter Overton. May we continue to be able to serve you.
