Each year when we run the portrait competitions it is an extension of our existing philosophy that we are here as stewards to help you on your own sartorial journey.
That journey will have ebbs and flows, you will pick up suits, you may just as well drop them off. You may go casual resort wear for the next two years before discovering once again that you love a three piece suit.
You may watch Indiana Jones and rediscover your love for a bow tie, you may then start following Ozwald Boateng and decide you love a shirt done up to the top but nothing on the neck (what we call the invisible neck tie). And along the way you may pick up scarves, twirl a bandana, casually sash a cashmere scarf, casually plump and plonk a pochette into your breast pocket. It's your journey, not ours, we just put the product in front of you.
The portrait competition is about taking the time to look in the mirror and do a sketch and maybe capture a moment in time. Yes, we do expect to see neckwear in them, or at least a pocket square, as it is our belief that there is always a time to have something to adorn yourself with by way of silk, cashmere, linen, wool, whatever. Preferably natural.

The entries will close November 30th. The conditions of entry are as follows:
1. A self portrait
2. You can use pencils and paper and if you need to you are welcome to use digital programmes such as Fresco and Procreate but you must inform us which has been used.
3. No elements of AI can be present in the image.
4. Your image must be submitted in a resolution that at minimum 2000 px wide and no less than 300dpi.
5. You can submit no more than one entry.
6. You can submit the work either by Instagram or Whatsapp or over email. If the image is large please send us a link to the work.
7. You must do all of the work yourself.
8. Have fun.
The winner will receive $1000.00 AUD gift voucher at RRP from Le Noeud Papillon.
Two runners up will each receive $500.00 AUD gift vouchers.
