It started with Cornelia Selover's art work which was our very first submission this year for the portrait competition. And since then the most interest we've had this year is from women. Which is interesting because I have tried to engage so many women about silks but we were somewhat type casted by the fact that we specialise in bow ties.
I am really chuffed that these art works have been trickling in. First there was Martika's coloured pencil sketch where she began wearing bow ties in her hair this year. Then there is Liz Gridley below whose oil on canvas artwork was intended to to look and feel like our description of a loose and fast sketch but in oil. Then there is Michelle Hazelton, whose artwork has placed one of our scarves "If I Gave You Diamonds And Pearls" into her hair.
We are almost done here now, three days more and we close off submissions and deliberate.
