Marty Thomas came past the Studio  , if you don't follow him, consider it. He is here LINK

He is in very good nick for 65 years of age and he wears clothes so well. There are few Australian men that I follow for matters of style and clothing, truly, they are hard to find, but Marty has a "je ne sais quoi" (hows me spelling this morning) and savoir faire from his modelling days combined with his own aesthetic. He and his partner stopped past the Studio this week. I do love Studio visits. +61413140994

Then there is David below. He ordered a matching bow tie and bund from us. Why is what we offer special? Let me say this, I do not know another business that keeps luxury Italian silk jacquards on hand and can cut them into a myriad of shapes and sizes in both bow and bund from the very same roll of silk and then present them and pack them and scent them I might add, and have them to you a week later in any part of the world. Do you know of anyone like that? I don't. Does it make us special? God no, it just means we have the means. We took the time. The real special stuff is when our customers then show us in photos how they worked our products into their tailoring pursuits and then presto, here comes Prince Charming.

Don't miss out on that service. One day we may not be around. And when it goes I don't really know who will replace us though I am sure some enthusiastic kid will gladly replace me at some point. Good luck to him. Let's hope he makes more money than I do.

So this week I have been focused on my health. I am on a new drug, no, not the Oze... but I am on another version to be honest. I have had blood sugar issues. I am getting old. Even my eyes, my eyes! I never thought they would go.

This morning when I turned up to the beach I was reading my phone with my spectacles and my friend was startled. "It's happened to you too?" Yes it has.

Once I was a warrior.

My trainer, his name is Les. He is 80 now. He's a little like Mickey out of Rocky. "One more round" he always says. We started in boxing many years ago and fatty boomsticks here took to it well. He said, and I am only quoting Les, who by the way has taken four teams to the Olympics and conditioned Bjorn and McEnroe, he said to me, no word of a lie, that I thew the second biggest punch he's ever witnessed. I aske him who was the best and he said Australian swimming legend Ian Thorpe. You can ask Les yourself and if I am lying you can have a free bow tie.

But that was a few years back and two shoulder injuries and facet joints that were aggravated and then lower back pain and general creakiness crept in and I had to lay up by gloves because I need to cut silk to make money. Anyway, this week, very good news, I was back on the gloves and it feels so nice to have relatively good health.

Most of life's problems can be resolved with an open walk for 2 hours but the real joy for me is when I am moving quickly between the pads, it really keeps you in the zone.

Alrighty my friends, I am back to the cutting desk and back to serving you. I, your servant, your man in silk, ready to receive loud and clear.
