This competition is starting to become bigger than I expected and I am extremely amazed by all that talent that is out there. Annie showed me her sketch which is on our Instagram handle @lenoeudpapillon and you can then see how it evolved.

This design is a reflection of so many things I genuinely love. I’ve always been obsessed with art, design and colour, particularly the boldness and playfulness of Pop Art and the way unexpected colours can completely transform an image. I love creating things that feel vibrant, a little whimsical and full of personality.
For this scarf, I wanted to bring that love of colour and design together with something distinctly Australian. Our incredible native birds became the inspiration, reimagined through beautiful layers of aqua, turquoise, cobalt and deep blue. I wanted the birds to feel almost woven into the artwork rather than simply placed upon it, creating movement and little moments of discovery throughout the design.
Ultimately, this scarf feels very me. That being colourful, artistic, slightly unexpected and joyful. It combines my love of Pop Art and contemporary design with the beauty of Australian birdlife, turning something from nature into a piece of wearable art.
