Jack Simpson, formerly Paul Newman's suit maker, sent this in to us. A dupioni silk he was working on with one of our more unique silks featuring an etched bow tie. I love it. Food for thought.

So really, when I don these suits and shirts and ties and bow ties and loafers and Oxfords and suspenders and pochettes and scarves, really, I am dressing for everyone I come into contact with as much as for myself, to offer you something to talk about and when the following day when you are ringing your friends for a debrief you might say "and what about that strange cat in the pink suit, what was his story". Don't get me wrong, it works to my advantage if it is true, well, put frankly, I would be happy to serve women, they are so much more liberal with their money when they are spending on themselves. On Saturday night my lady was taking me out for dinner and I wanted to give my new spunky pink suit a twirl. Did you know that the word bespoke comes from English tailors where the client would ask after a particular piece of cloth to which the tailor would respond that the 'cloth had been spoken for'. We often want what we can't have. I am sure this response would have been great for business.
