By far our most popular shape remains the Majestic Black, it is the go to bow tie for the undecided, the indifferent, the debonair, the regular, the irregular. It just seems to be our Goldilocks. But a few years back with Porter from P Johnson, hence the name, we designed a bow tie named the Porter and over the last few years it has become quite a popular shape. It references a bow tie Porter had found on Richard Gere in the movie American Gigolo, but we tweaked it to make it our own, and of course ours is hand-tied, when Giorgio Armani made the movie it was a pre-tied shape. 

So, come and take a look. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly has it's own personality. 

Look, not every man can do a silk scarf, so when I see one in the wild, like the four in hand tied on Stanley Tucci recently, I feel the need to celebrate it. Lovely Prince Of Wales Check peaked lapel 3 piece, what's not to love. The guy is a dude. I hope at the same age I can be that cool. 

Don't be silly and try to hang out for a sale bargain, I am not interested. You online shoppers with your penny pinching are really starting to bore me. Which is why I love to entertain people at the Studio where they can really touch and feel and understand the quality of what we offer. Back on deck today and what a buzz it was to finally visit mainland China. It was one of the most exceptional trips I have taken and finally put in perspective what everyone is talking about and frankly if you haven't been I think you should definitely attempt to make a visit there whilst it is easy to get a visa. I have yet to gather all my thoughts but when I do, it will be right here on the blog.

We love hearing from you and we love making you happy so if you have anything to say we are all ears. 

The pursuit of something beyond the mundane and that which might be remembered and loved beyond your own life span is what I continue to strive towards. A neck tie that might be picked up by your son and worn to his first cocktail party. A bow tie that after you're gone he cherishes and will never lose because he can remember the first time he saw his father tie a bow tie. It makes me well with emotion to be honest. We are not here for long, we leave an impression mostly on our family members, not many beyond that. A few great friends if we are lucky. 

It was a very fruitful trip. Thanks for asking. Wink. I went to see screen printers and got blown away by the set up costs and the minimums. Where once I would not have thought twice about running a new project these days I am a little more cautious about where I place my money. Plus, digital printing is coming so close to screen printing these days.
