As this global malaise continues to wreak havoc on people's travel plans and lifestyle, we still have a choice, well most of us do anyway, as to how we present ourselves to the world. As one of my regular customers wrote to me on the weekend, he found our Instagram enjoyable because it gave him inspiration to put on his nice clothes again. It was a privilege to see men like Dandy Wellington who wagered war on the virus by not giving up on how he presented himself to the world. That same customer said that over the weekend he has posed his wife a question: "Do you think I will ever wear my bow ties again?"
Nathan Colkitt And The Pin Striped Suit And Polka Dot Bow Tie That Worked
This is Nathan Colkitt. He has become on our customers over the past twelve months having heard about us through Steven Knorsch, aka The Snob Report. I received recently a wonderful photo taken of Nathan by his wife and he was just showing me how he was wearing our bow ties right now. It has always been a privilege to see what our customers come up with because I have my own aesthetic but it is often limited by my weight, the colour of my skin and what I am willing to give a go and what I set aside. I have not worn a pin stripe since the mid 1990's so I was so happy to see Nathan pull this ensemble off. It strikes me as odd from the outset. If someone said to me "what about a pin striped suit with a bengal striped shirt with a white collar and cuffs and a polka dot bow tie" I would probably reply - NO.
So, I take my hat off to you Mr. Colkitt. Because this is an exceptionally refined look and I am going to give it a go myself in the near future. Well, I will investigate it. I am not entirely sure pin stripes will work for, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

I have been spruiking my little morning swim club for some time now and as it has grown so has the number of products we have developed around it. Over time we have had people turning up asking for product, especially our caps and sweaters with the gold foil. Enough so that I turned to my old friend Raj whom I started the group with, and asked if it were not a good idea to make some product that he could run himself and we could put the money back into a new line of products that specifically sell cold water swimming and early risers. Farewell HRH Prince Phillip
It's been such a terrible time for the Windsors and unfortunately the world seems to have lost any sense of compassion for this family - as though its simply sport to pull them apart instead of perhaps focusing on the good things they have done. No family is without its faults and no family has perfect children nor a perfect outlook. With his passing I hope there might be some respite from the likes of Oprah Winfrey who seem to take delight in throwing people and families under a bus just to have a few more minutes in the spotlight. My condolences to the family and my respect to a man who gave great service to his family and to his country.

Sukajan (スカジャン) are, in their most basic and historic form, a synthetic bomber jacket which is either quilted or non-quilted and is usually a mixture of contrast colours between the sleeves and the body which has then been heavily embroidered on.

We get a lot of people asking about our shapes of bow ties and questions which we try to answer on the website and over Whatsapp as much as we can. But for those of you who are unsure as to how to size a bow tie, the answer is, there is no strict answer. It will come down to personality, the shape of your face, how far your eyes are apart, the style of suit you are wearing and more. So before you begin, perhaps look at the sizing below and then look in the mirror with a ruler and roughly see where you think you will fit in in terms of size. Our most prized shape, which is the most often cut for the website, is our modified butterfly. This fits MOST people, but on some it just doesn't suit. So it pays to do some research for yourself.
